The following are memes about the English king Henry VIII. Henry VIII ruled England from 22 April 1509 until his death in 1547. He is best known for his endless marriages, and the English Reformation. The latter took place as Henry could not seem to get a male heir to the throne with Catherine of Aragon, his first wife. When Henry VIII requested the Pope to annul his marriage, his request was refused. The king then decided to break away from the Catholic Church and the Pope by making himself head of the English Church. By the time he died Henry managed to go through no less than six wives. Catherine Parr was hist last wife who managed to outlast her husband.
