Ulrich Shanft was an SS officer that flee to Israel after WW2 and pretended to be a Jewish holocaust survivor, he joined the Haganah and then the IDF. he was kicked out after drunkingly joking about being SS (which they mistook as a very dark joke), then got caught for being a Nazi after admitting it to his Israeli married GF who went and reported it. One crazy man and story.
